AT&T has high hopes for the C’bean
AS Barbadians continue to acquire mobile phones now on offer by AT&T Wireless (Barbados), a senior official of that company is making it clear that the mobile carrier intends to become a major player in the Caribbean.
The pledge has come from Kim Whitehead, manager of AT&T Wireless (Barbados).
She said that AT&T Wireless already had several operations across the Caribbean, including Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica (to be launched soon), and Cayman Islands. In addition, they are looking at other properties in the Caribbean.
“So the strategy is to have a significant presence in the Caribbean to ensure we have critical mass and we will be looking at every opportunity there,” she said.
