Centennial Wireless Selects SS8 Networks to Provide Short Messaging Server Platform

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- SS8 Networks, a leading developer of signaling and enhanced solutions for the telecommunications industry, announced today that Centennial de Puerto Rico, a division of Centennial Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: CYCL - News), a leading independent wireless service provider, has selected and deployed SS8's ServiceController(TM) 3200 - Short Messaging Server (SMS-C). Centennial has deployed this next generation messaging infrastructure to enable delivery and retrieval of short messages.
Centennial's selection of SS8 followed an extensive research process. As part of the agreement, SS8 customized the service-provisioning interface to provide increased ease of use and functionality for Centennial.

The SS8 ServiceController 3200 - Short Message Server system is available for both GSM and IS-41C systems and provides the full range of international SMSC standard features. The ServiceController 3200 ensures broad compatibility as well as support and allowance of simple enhancements with its advanced database and SS7 transport layer features.
