C&W: Wireless would be too costly

CABLE & WIRELESS (Barbados) does not favour using wireless technology to provide domestic telephone service here.

This was pointed out yesterday by chief engineer Edwin Layne who said given the high level of traffic over local telephone lines, such a service would be unaffordable.
