Big Banana -- St. John's 03/03/2005

We sampled a number of places over
nearly two weeks' time in St. John's,
but we kept returning to Big Banana
"Pizzas in Paradise" downtown. The
pizzas were thin-crust and outstanding.
The service was remarkably good when
one considers how busy they seemed to
get each evening we ate there (the
weekend was the busiest; you may want
to try a weeknight). There is ample
seating outside amid a tree-covered
patio. The one negative was that the
sandwiches had more bread than meat, but
that seemed to be the case all over the
island. You can't go wrong with the
pizza though -- wash it down with the
delicious local Wadadli beer!
