The Flying Fishbone is the best place to eat on the island. Rent a car for the day/weekend, it will be cheaper than the $40-$50 cab fare. It is about 10 minutes south of the airport. Also, make a reservation for around 6 so you can see the sunset. It is one of the best scenes I have ever seen. Food isn't that expensive, I am from NJ so I am used to paying high prices, I guess. My wife and I tell everyone to go there. Other restaurants worthy to go on the island are - Tuscany (Marriot) - Excellent but a bit pricer than other restaurants on the island. Ruins del Mar (Hyatt) A must! 2nd to the Fishbone. Sit outside at night. Papiamento's - Very good, in the back yard of a house and you eat around the pool. El Goucho's- Good, for the steak person. I would recommend it but the above restaurants are better.
