Aruba Restaurant & Dining Reviews
Old Cunucu House 09/22/2003
Reviewers Rating: Good
The house is 150 years old and has been turned into a restaurant featuring Aruban style dishes. Interesting to see, but I wouldn't go there again.
The food was good, not great. We were on a dine around plan. We had two appetizers, two entrees and one desert. The plan includes two of each and coffee for two. Instead of coffee we had one iced tea and one hot tea. They had the gall to charge us $3.00 extra since it wasn't on the plan. If I"d thought about it I would've sat down again and ordered two coffees and another desert...taken one sip or bite of each then left. It seems pretty cheap to me that they charged us extra when we didn't even use up the entire amount of food we had paid for on the plan. Yes, they were within their rights, but it leaves a bad taste in your mouth to get this type of treatment.
One more thing. Don't order their home made cheese cake...it's terrible!
