Excellent
Wonderful place. Exotic feeling of a colonial mansion, impeccable interior decoration, remote inland setting. An adventure to get to, but the visit is worthwhile.Too good to be true? Yes. The food quality just wasn't there: a few notches below restaurants like Mullins or Carambola, but the bill is a lot higher (even before that long taxi ride).
I expected more because the brochure mentioned an chef from the Ivy in London. Then again, it didn't say he was there to cook it, it just pointed out that he helped with the menu. I should have read it better. Anyway, why
import chefs when Barbados grows its own?
Enough of that: If I tell you to go anyway, it must be good ;-)
Just for a night...chill... and forget about the bill.
