British Virgin Islands Restaurant & Dining Reviews Reviews
La Cabanon 03/10/2004
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Last week I ate at La Cabanon for the first time (and the second time - we had dinner there one night and went back for lunch a few days later). My husband had been there before and said how great it was....he was right. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. For dinner I had great Beef Carpaccio for an appetizer, and for my entree I ordered the Sole Meuniere. The fish and several other items on the menu had arrived fresh from France that day...and it was fresh and tasty! And a huge portion. For dessert: Creme Brulee - I loved it. The waitress was really nice and attentive. The wine was delicious - and the wine list offered both inexpensive and expensive bottles. For lunch a few days later, the menu was much simpler and very French. My kids had Croque Monsieur, I had a Goat Cheese Salad. The menu also included a nice variety of pressed sandwiches, steaks with green peppercorn sauce, homemade fries, etc... I did not find this restaurant in any guide books, but it is definitely worth seeking out. It's located in Road Town across the street from the ferry (right next to Pussers), tucked behind some bushes.
