Just recently we discovered La Yucatequita, apparently the first restaurant on the island to serve Yucatecan food and popular with locals. They also serve excellent seafood and other dishes from Acapulco, original home of the owner, Martin Valdez. Martin is always on site and loves to schmooz with his customers -- especially about golf. The restaurant is on 10th street, an easy walk from downtown or Corpus and in my experience offers some real home cooking and an authentic Margarita.
