Dining Reviews:
Cancún & Cozumel
Lorenzillo's 11/15/01
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
The first time I was in Cancun, about 10 years ago, some tourists told me of an excellent Lobster restaurant that was on the lagoon called Lorenzillo's. When I first entered the restaurant I couldn't help but be amazed by this huge wooden hut made of some exotic wood. When we were seated at the bar the waiter suggested the ever favorite margarita (I had the strawberry one) It was a very nice sized one which left me kind of buzzed when I finished it. When my friends and I sat down to eat we ordered (to start) a Ceasar Salad, a spinach salad and carpaccio. All three were amazing. For dinner we all decided to have the house special - LOBSTER!! We chose our lobster from a little boat that had live carribean lobsters swimming inside. We picked a huge one - 2.5 kilograms - I think it's over 5 lbs. Needless to say it was exquisite! I would definitely say it's worth the trip. Now every chance I visit Cancun,Mexico I make it my business to go their to eat. The funny th! ing is that everytime I'm there I meet people who have been eating their for years as well. (Review originally submitted on March 26, 2001)
