Fort Nassau 01/25/02
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Probably the best view on the island from this long established restaurant in this old fort above the harbour of Willemstad. View over the St. Annabay and the Schottegat, beautiful place for sunset drinks and lovely at night because of all the lights and the somewhat spooky flames of the oilrefinery.Menu is international with Caribbean accents and there is quite a lot of choice of local fishes. Meat is imported from the U.S., except from the goat which if they have it, is local. Good drinks and cocktails and friendly, competent service that speaks English. Not cheap, but worth it for the view alone. Eat either in looking over the Schottegat and the refinery (airco) or out on the terrace with a view over the Annabay and Punda.
