Made reservations for party of 8. Ended up being seated in the bar area because that was the only spot they could fit us. This was even after a long wait. Seems reservation meant little on that night. Still, meal was good even if service was slow.
We returned for another visit on our trip figuring they can't possibly treat us any worse. We ended up getting better seating, still had to wait (right on the other side of the bar) but it was obvious that because we didn't have drinkers in our party, our business wasn't that important. I say this without any doubts. We've visited this restaurant for the past 5 years (yes we really like the food) but it's either a hit or miss with service. Either we were being rushed out because they needed the table or they could care less that we sat there waiting and waiting for food. Forget refills on drinks since soda and juice don't run up the tab. Even after getting the owner who remembered us from our visits, it didn't help. Oh he yelled at the waiter (not what we wanted---how about the owner actually WORK if he's short staffed. He was more interested in hugging and kissing every young girl entering the building). While I'd recommend the restaurant for the food, I really wish we found another Italian restaurant on the island (that we like) that we could give our business.
