I just returned from Negril and a major highlight of my trip was the Rockhouse. Before I rave about the food a few details about the neat layout. The design is Polynesian/Indonesian in style with a high peaked thatch roof supported by varnished timbers.Cable suspended Halogen lights provide discrete illumination and ambience. Dining on the terrace overlooking the cliffs you are transfixed by the deep blue tinged water lit by hidden spotlights. The view is awesome, fish and rocks and waves! Half of the tables are under cover the other half under the stars overlooking the 30 foot drop to the sea!
My dinner was 4 stars, Pan fried snapper , w/Calaloo( like a spinach)with rice and peas garnished with sweet plaintains. Boneless and cooked to perfection , I loved it so much I actually ordered it 3 times in 2 day! Priced at about 10.95 I felt it a good value. Pretty nice wine list and desert was 4 stars as well, a nice Coconut Cream Pie w/Ice Cream -about 4.95.
I will definitely visit again!
