St. Kitts & Nevis Restaurant & Dining Reviews
Ottleys 04/30/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
My wife and I found Ottleys to be the finest restaurant on St. Kitts and ate there twice durnig our weeks stay. (Rawlings Plantation could perhaps be on the same level but we ate lunch there while visiting local artist Kate Spencer's studio which is located right next door). Be sure to arrive at Ottleys early enough so you can tour the grounds in the daytime as they are spectacular as are the ocean views. Each night Ottleys offers a preset four course meal for $60.00. Included are soup,(both nights delicious) salad, main course and dessert.(Do not fail to try the cheesecake). The menu changes each night and reservations are required. Worth mentioning is the warm hospitality by both staff and owners. We did not find other dining experiences to be as exciting. Circus Grill is easily avoided, StoneWalls a good place to have a drink and meet the locals but somewhat overpriced for the picnic bench seats and tin roof decor. Marshalls has a great view of the ocean and attempts elegance but delivers standard fare at a high end price. Pass on the Marriott.
