Excellent
I love Tilly's. After three different nights eating at Tilly's (two in June 2002 and one this January) I'm very satisfied. The restaurant is on the Gros Islet highway just north of the main Rodney Bay intersection, on the east side of the road. Unfortunately it's potentially missed because of the landscaping in front of the restaurant. There are a couple of signs right on the road, though. I don't know the cultural history of a 2x4 style restaurant, but to this American it's a charming open-air seating, brightly painted, comfortable place.
There are several different fishes offered (among other items)and you can choose to have it grilled, baked, or creole style. I've always selected creole style and never been dissapointed. Dinner includes authentic caribbean side dishes. My husband and I each had a rum punch (best I've had and best during the 2 for 1 5-7 happy hour), I had a soup starter, and each a meal which came to, with tip, under $40 US. The staff is friendly and accomodating, Tilly is frequently about, and you can feel at ease enjoying a leisurely cocktail and dinner.
Hope you enjoy Tilly's.
