Baywatch Restaurant 11/26/2005
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Baywatch is a fantastic litle beach restaurant/bar located on Orient Beach at the far end of the beach before you get to Club Orient. It is owned by 2 New Jerseyites, Chery and Andy. The food is outstanding especially the seafood, but they have everything from homemade pasta dishes, subs, burgers, hot dogs, salads etc. They always have fresh daily specials. They are very friendly and welcoming and many people are long time patrons who visit everytime they're in St. Martin. We eat there several times every time we visit SXM. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They close around 4:30 every day and I believe they are closed on Mondays. The restaurant is right on the beach and is a fun place to eat and meet people. Cheryl helps wait on tables and Andy does the cooking but always comes out to say hello and talk to the diners. This is extrememly casual just like all the other beach restaurants and bars right on Orient Beach. People walk in barefoot, in bathing suits and topless. Also because of their proximity to the Orient Club it is not uncommon to see totally nude diners. Sooo, if this would offend you then don't go, but you'll be missing out on a delightful, delicious experience! Bon appetit!
