I have recently been contacted by Swiss American in regards to my timeshare (Palm Canyon, Palm Springs). I am wainting to receive papers to fill out the information that they need to "buy" my timeshare. I was also contacted by MLS and have a name and number of a person to call back. I am going to get all the information so that I can track these companies. I am so glad that I used the Internet to research this. I was excited to sell my timeshare so easily but now I know I have to avoid the appraisal scam. Thank God for the Internet so we can eliminate these scam artists and exchange this information freely. We were told it needed to be appraised and were given a list of appraisal companies. We chose RCI as we felt this was probably safe. We are awaiting a return call from Swiss American Bank. We received a very garbled message on our answering machine so assumed they were waiting for us to reply, but we could not hear what the message was. We discovered your postings when attempting to find information so we could contact them in response to the garbled message. > >We are awaiting a call from a potential buyer, but as a result of your postings, we are very skeptical about Swiss American's integrity. > >We are anxious to receive more information from anyone else regarding this issue. > >
