Caribbean Golf Guides
The Caribbean has some of the world's most beautiful and challenging golf courses, and hosts many major and local tournaments. Most courses have in-season and off-season prices, as well as guest and non-guest prices (many courses are part of resorts or hotels) and member and non-member prices. Some of the more famous require carts and a mandatory caddy. Most offer club rentals. You should always call, email, or visit a specific courses website (if available) for the latest information, greens fees and tee times.
Cap Juluca has opened the Temenos Golf Club as of December, 2009. This 18 hole Greg Norman signature golf course has fantastic views of St. Martin and the Caribbean Sea. The course is challenging and offers tiered greens sitting lagoon-side as well as elevated greens surrounded by water and protected by bunkers. Native plantings beautifully enrich this course. Tee times are now being accepted by calling the Temenos Golf Pro Shop at (264) 498-5602. For the 2010 season, the greens fee for a round of 18 holes during peak times will be $225+ per person.

The Domincan Republic has many great courses, and one of the world's best:
The Teeth of The Dog, at the famous Casa de Campo resort. This is a stunning course with many holes right on the Caribbean Sea, and is a must stop for the serious Caribbean Golfer. We played a couple of rounds there several years ago - the course lives up to its reputation.
Guavaberry Golf & Country Club This 7,156-yard par-72 course is sensitively blended into the landscape bordering a tropical forest and nature preserve. The black championship tees offer the greatest challenge. There is a 936-yard difference between the middle white tees (11-20 Hcp) and black tees (scratch golfer) -- the sight lines are quite different and the penalty for missing a landing area can be quite ruthless.
