Great
Visited Anguilla for the first time this year in March and stayed at Rendezvous for three nights before our usual vacation in St. Maarten. We arrived by taxi from the ferry landing, $7.00 ride for two people, and were checked in and driven to our room within minutes! We had reserved a beachfront villa and this was truely a beachfront villa that I would love to expect everywhere we travel! Rendezvous is an older hotel and the beachfron villas consist of sixteen or so units that are located with 35 feet of the water and the beach runs right to the steps on the porch......
The rooms have cathedral ceilings, fans as well as A/C. There was a mini-fridge in our room and we arrived to find bottled water and ice waiting and were offered the option of haveing the fridge stocked with water, soda, wine and beer. The windows and doors were louvered and screened and there were two double doors that opened onto the porch with steps directly to the beach. All three nights we left the louvers open with the fan and were able to listen to the waves on the beach...really nice.
Being tired from travel on the first evening we called for room service and the hotel sent our meals and wine down by car. The waiter sat the table on the porch up with a linen tablecloth, candles and fresh flowers for our meal. All-in-all a grat way to spend the first night on Anguilla. After many years on St. Maarten it was strange to be on a beach and only see a very few people, especially a beach as beautiful as Rendezvous Bay.
Food was very good, great service was very good and it was especially nice to see the manager make a daily walk around the villas to make sure all was OK. We were also able to rent a car directly from the hotel with absolutely no hassle...
Great vacation and I recommend Rendezvous Bay to anyone that is looking for a quiet and comfortable place to relax and unwind!
