Wyndham Resort 05/29/02

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Wyndham. I am a member of the Wyndham-by-request program so upon arrival, we were upgraded to a superior room with an ocean view overlooking the pool. Very nice, indeed. Also there was a nice ,chilled bottle of wine with some cheese and crackers. The service at this hotel is excellent. Any service requested is done asap with a smile. No bad attitudes here!!! I found the hotel to be exceptionally clean. The buffet breakfast was good but gets boring after a few days--kind of repetitious. We also ate at Bloosoms,which was Japanese & Chinese cuisine. We ate Japanese. It was OK, nothing to rave over. Don't miss the manager's cocktail party. Lots of chaise lounges at the beach & the pool. The only downside to the beach is the wind, which will cause you to get a good sand-blasting. Otherwise, the beach is spacious & clean with beautiful warm, calm water. The location of the hotel is great. No reason to rent a car--all other major hotels within walking distance, as well as some very good restaurants. The bus for downtown stops right in front of the hotel--$2 round trip. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone as there was a great mix of guests--honeymooners,senior citizens and families.
