British Virgin Islands
Lambert Beach Resort 03/12/02
Reviewers Rating: Great
We just came back from the best trip to BVI!! We stayed at the Lambert and loved it. We had reserved a beachview room, but when we arrived we were upgraded to a beach front room. The staff was wonderful - very very friendly and helpful in arranging anything you wanted. The room was very clean and comfortable with both remote controled AC and a fan. The pool is the biggest on the island, and very nice. The beach is beautiful but kind of on the rough side. The grounds are well kept and neat. If you want to be somewhere out of the way, the Lambert is a great choice! The only advice I have regarding this resort is to definitely rent a car for the extent of your stay (it's only about $50/day and well worth it) because Lambert is pretty remote. Driving anywhere is kind of fun (on the left!) and you get a better sense of the island that way anyway. The restaurant is ok, but nothing special - there are a lot of other places on Tortola that are a lot better. Make the trip to V. Gorda for the Baths and check out Smuggler's Cove, dance in Quito's and chill at Bombas (unfortunately we missed the full moon party, but won't make the same mistake next time!). Have a great time!
