Reviewers Rating: Great
Having never been to the Caribbean I had no idea of what to expect. Needless to say that travelling a week after the problems in America was a little worrying, but with a few hours of delays we finally made it. Our room was upgraded because we were on honey moon, and we had a beautiful view over the ocean. This resort offers a lot of facilities and caters for all personalities. If you like it quiet by the pool go to the villa pool. If you like a bit of atmosphere stay at the hotel pool. Food was good, varied and in great supply (24hours a day). This is not a resort to go to if you are an active person. It is far too hot to do any exercise except swimming and the gym is not air conditioned. There are numerous excursions from the hotel including swimming with dolphins and snorkelling the coral reef. However these come at a price, so be prepared to spend about $50 per trip. This though is really all the money you need. Tips are expected, but there is little else to buy. A small market sells lots of crocheted things and wood carvings, but all very cheaply.
As a normally active person, it was a shock to the system to relax and do literally nothing for a week. I loved it!!!!!! Take an underwater camera, the coral reef is easily swimmable from the resort and well worth it.
In my opinion this is a great resort for doing nothing, so if you deserve a relaxing break, go.
PS tell your tour operator if it is your honeymoon. the room upgrade is well worth it, plus you get a bottle of rum and a lobster meal and "champagne"
