Hotel Tryp, Cayo Coco 10/02/02

I found the Hotel Tryp to be fantastic, I loved it. I stayed in the Club side as there was no one staying in the Colonial side, due to it being low season. This wasn't a problem though as you can still use all of the facilities in the Colonial side. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very polite,(obviously tipping does help). The pools were all clean and not too cold, but cold enough to cool off in. Also the pool bar was great for cocktails during the day! There wasn't that much entertainment in the evening, but if you wanted a dance there was always the Piano Bar! There was lots of food to choose from throughout the day, a number of A La Cart restaurants (which only cost $15), there was always something to suit everyone. I would suggest that you take some extra cash with you to do some of the excursions that the hotel offer, some of them are brill, like Swimming with Dolphins and The Catamaran cruise, where you get to snorkle off the Coral Reef. One problem we had was that the bar tended to run out of certain drinks by the end of the evening, but there was always Rum left, great for a hangover the next morning!!! Overall I found that the Hotel was of a very high standard, and I would definitely go back there again Clare
