I have just returned from Cuba this past Sunday Oct. 19, 2003. I will comment only on the hotel and area not the flight.
Once we arrived we were quite happy with the lobby and check in process. We were in our room in about 15 minutes. Our room was 5515 which is a bottom floor corner room not facing the water or the pool. That was fine for us because we were so close to the pool and the pool bar. We really liked this block of rooms. Are room was huge, clean and really nice. We had ants once as something had drop on the floor. Other than that our room was very comfortable. We brought air freshners which we used in the washroom as it smelled alittle strange. Very minor problem. Resort was very well laid out, beach was beautifull, a short walk but not an issue for us. Ok....
Food was good at the a la cartes but it was just okay in the buffets. The food was plain but we expected that knowing what Cuba is all about. Drinks were fabulous, slushy's were great and the beer was great. We have travelled all over the carribean and Cuba and this ranked right up there with some of our top vacations. The pool was awesome...just huge and so nice and warm.
So in closing we are planning to return early next year with our children in tow. Any questions let me know.
