cuba hotel & resort reviews

Melia Cayo Guillermo 11/27/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Hello Everyone..

I just wanted to point out a few things regarding this hotel at different times
of the year..

AS with most resorts when the season is low, a lot of the services are cut
back, there for resulting in sometimes negative feedback.

I have been to this resort at different times of the year..

Sept, Oct and November.. is low season meaning the hotel is not extremly busy..
The weather is not predictable,, having been there a couple of times in Nov
seperate years it is very simalar. The beach is narrow and windy.. also the
seaweed does add up.. the reason for this is that its still considered rainy
and Hurricane season. The bugs also have a tendicies to be bad. The good side
is that its not everyday. With the hotel not being very busy you get drinks
quicker no lines ups. and you truly get some r&r.

December... is the start of there winter,, temp does go down but only 1 or 2
degrees, The hotel does get busier and more active.

Janaury is the same as Nov and Dec.. the differnece is that the hotel is a lot
busier and the weather tends to get warmer as the end of month approaches.

Feb and March.. as everyone knows is the busiest months of the year at the
resorts.. You can count on it being full. The entertainment picks up and can be
a livley place or a place of R&R.. which ever you want to do. The beach is
awsome at this time.. very little seaweed, its cleaned everyday. The tide is
way out.. making for a awsome beach.

April... in my opinion is the best month to go. The weather is Fantastic, very
little wind.. the hotel is busy but not fully occupied about 3/4 full. No
problems with chairs. The amoshpere is amazing by everyone.

May and June.. The weather starts to get a little unsettled. But everything
else is simalr to March and April.

July And August.. I really can not comment on these months. The only thing I
can say for sure is the tempature is very hot.

This is just a summary of how I feel the months are at Melia Cayo Guillermo.

People have comments about how quiet the resort is.. they are right... for the
time of year that they go.

This a wonderful resort in my opinion. in the last couple of years service had
lacked, but they are now on the up in that department.

They work very hard at this hotel as they do in many.
I would recommend this resort to anyone.. Family. couples and singles.

Thank you .

Marcie
