The Cayman Islands Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews
Treasure Island Resort 12/11/2003
Reviewers Rating: Great
Stayed at Treasure Island Resort in a hotel room. This was our second visit. If you are traveling to Grand Cayman without children and do not spend alot of time in a hotel room I highly recommend this resort. The rooms are basic but very clean. It is an older property, and could use a few repairs here and there, but nothing that inconvienced you. The rooms are large and contain a fridge, and a safe, either a King Bed, or two doubles, a table and two chairs. All have balcony's. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and our room was very quiet. The resort has three pools, an onsite dive operator. And one pool has a great swim-up bar. The beach is a man-made very wide sandy beach area, the entrance to the water is rocky. But not difficult. I saw more fish while snorkeling here than I saw at all the other recommended sites combined. It is centrally located at the beginning of Seven Mile Beach so you are able to walk into town or walk north up the beach. There were very few places that were not within walking distance. It is definitely not The Ritz, but I didn't pay for the Ritz. For under $100 dollars a night I was able to eat out where ever I wanted because I didn't spend it on a room. If anyone stays there say Hi to Chris and Bob at the pool bar they were great. We had a wonderful time at this resort.
