I stayed at Club Antigua a couple of years ago. It was a decent place - the rooms were not very big and pretty basic. At first, we were given a room above the pool, which was noisy and not what I was looking for. The next morning, I told a member of the staff that my room was above the pool and...before I could finish, she said, Let me find you a quieter location. I was so pleased. They moved our suitcases to a room that was at the end of the complex - practically beachfront and picturesque. The hotel is very long, and fronts a very long, very nice beach. If you enjoy being on the beach, you will have a good time. Topless sunbathing is allowed. The restaurants were fine - there is one more "elegant" restaurant that you make reservations for. Go there as many times as they allow - it is good. The water sports, etc., were also good. The staff was helpful, although I found that Antiguans in general tend to be gruff. The vacation was fun, but I probably would not return to !
Antigua as there is not much to do as far as activities go on the island. The beach is the big attraction, and the weather was excellent - hot and sunny every day. I've never been so tan!
