My family and I stayed at the St. James Club in February and had an amazing time.
This resort is definitly a 5 star. The layout was great. There were 2 beaches, one that had all of the activities and watersports and the other one that was quiet if you wanted some privacy.
The restaurants and food were amazing. The buffet breakfasts were so good, lots of choice. The a la carte restaurants had amazing gourmet food. The only thing that I wasn't impressed by was the mixed drinks - the bar tenders didn't seem to know about all the yummy caribbean mixed drinks. They also ran out of Clamato during our stay so no ceasars! For the buffet restaurants you had to line up and give your room number. One night we lined up, gave our number and then were sent to the lounge and it was 45 minutes before we got a table. But other than that it was the best food I have ever eaten on holiday.
The pools were really nice. We stayed by the main pool most of the time. But the pools near the villas were beautiful with great views. There were always sunbeds available.
I found that there wasn't much going on at night other than the casino and bar. So for younger people it's probably not the place to go.
The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The rooms were always spotless. The staff were very friendly, by the end of our stay they were calling us by our names.
Overall, a wonderful place to go!
