Excellent
Visited January 2002 and had a fantastic time. Looking around other resorts on the Island we certainly got one of the best. Rooms are rustic but quite large and clean. Food is excellent; breakfast & lunch are buffet style. Evening meals give a choice of two (with 4 courses) and are served at the table. They are also absolutely wonderful putting many top restaurants to shame. The general area is very well designed and attractive in appearance.Only negative issues were the local beach which is attractive but it’s a bit difficult to get in and out of the water because of rocks and steep shelving. The sea is also very cloudy due to sand particles. In addition, there are lots of steps although nothing too daunting!
Tip - use busses, regular and cheap. $2 gets you to St Johns whilst $1 gets you to Turners beach just round the corner from Coco bay and better for swimming (also pretty empty whilst Rex Blue Heron is shut).
