Excellent
We stayed at Pineapple Beach over Christmas week 2002 and had a fantastic vacation!!Our room was 5 steps from the beach with a porch to sit out at night. The room was just right with all the neccessary amenities.
The beach was beautiful and the water that amazing Caribbean water color that is breathtaking!Clean, relaxing and felt pretty private. Vendors were very few and very friendly and respectful.
The meals were excellent, great breakfast buffett in the morning with everything you could ever want, extensive lunch a la carte with choices of sandwiches, fish, pasta, etc etc. Dinners at the Topaz were a 5 course selection, with two buffets during the week. We never ventured to the two other choices of restaraunts. NOTE-if you have children and don't see much on the dinner menu, just ask. Our 6 yr old got hot dogs, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, ice cream, if we asked!
Definitely ventured up to see Mary at the Outhouse! A very unique experience, to sit and talk to this wonderful lady, eat her food, have a cold beverage, and enjoy the quiet and the view is a warm memory to me now as am back to reality in cold New Hampshire!
Take the trip to Bird Island (paradise found!), and Devil's Bridge. St. John to us resembled a typical port town.
Allegro was AWESOME!!!! Two great pools (one my son basically had to himself), friendly warm staff, clean beautiful grounds, and to top it off, Santa arrived by boat on Christmas Day!!! Could it get any better than this????????
