Sandals Antigua Resort & Spa All-Inclusive
05/23/2005
Reviewers Rating: Good
Our expectation was in line with that set by the Sandals advertising: "the best of everything". We were disappointed. We found the service from most of the staff was poor and most seemed reluctant to help and were very unfriendly. Some of the staff, unfortunately the minority, were really kind, friendly and very helpful. The food was of an acceptable standard and much better than all of the other all-inclusives we have experienced. However, given the high cost of the vacation, I would have expected better. The nighttime entertainment was really poor and made worse by the fact that the main public area was not air-conditioned which made it very uncormfortable. The room accomodation was fairly good as were the pools and the beach. The gym and tennis courts were also a very good standard although the gym was not air-conditioned and was open to the outside. If you want a vacation with a great beach, acceptable food and just want to be drunk the whole time, then this place is ideal. You can drink top quality branded drinks from 10:30 AM to 1:00 AM. Most of the rooms have free mini bars with beer spirits and wine. If you want great food and entertainment then go elsewhere.
