LaCabana Beach & Racquet Club 02/09/01

Per the cliche, we liked this place [& Aruba] so much we bought 2 weeks' timeshare here. The LaCabana has two sections - Beach & Racquet Club and Villas. The Villas don't have an ocean view and are a couple minutes walk from Eagle Beach - a great beach. If you stay at LaCabana I'd recommend getting a Beach & Racquet Club room facing the beach - some rooms [especially ground floor rooms on the south side] have poor/no views of the beach. The best rooms face west; get the highest floor possible. The studios are almost as good as the 1 bedroom units and have a better kitchen. As for amenities, it [the Villa has two pools] has a pool, bars, restaurants, it's own Casino, health club, racquetball, billiards, library, in-house shopping... Should you wish to buy time-shares, LaCabana gives you a lot more for your money than most places. But, buy them through re-sellers like ITR and V.R. real estate on Aruba; you'll pay a lot less than buying through the resort. Great place!
