My fiance and I visited Aruba last year (Sept. 2000) and stayed at the Allegro hotel. I wanted to tell anyone out there that is thinking of visiting Aruba, that you are in for a wonderfully relaxing treat!! There is virtually NO crime on the island...totally safe, and you will find you aren't bothered by locals trying to sell you things. It has a quaint town to shop in, beautifully calm ocean to swim and snorkel in, wonderful white clean beaches, NO SEAWEED, and our stay at the Allegro exceeded all of our expectations. Clean rooms, friendly staff, wonderful food....we are casual people and don't care to dress for dinner, so if you're looking for laid back, this is the place to go!! Perfect weather, I cannot say enough!!
