My husband and I stayed at Divi Southwinds for our honeymoon in June of 2000. Although the resort was beautiful and our suite very nice and clean, I was disappointed that there was not more going on at the resort. Apparently we must have gone during the "low" tourist season because it was a bit "dead". The swim-up bar was never open and the service at the restaurant was a bit slow (although there were hardly any other customers there), but the food was awesome! The beach is located right across the street and was VERY nice. The location was good too...very close to town. Service was excellent and we had no problem getting the front desk to help us schedule some activities...speaking of which...make sure you go on one of the snorkeling trips that lets you swim with the sea turtles...so cool!
