My husband and I travelled to Barbados and chose Mango Bay because it was a small, more intimate resort - and unique. We were impressed with the friendly welcome from the manager and her constant presence throughout the week at the resort. The food was fabulous - with buffets for breakfast, and many choices for lunch - from endless bbq to exciting French and Caribbean dining. The service at the meals was excellent - our wine glasses were never half empty! The intimate atmosphere allowed us to become comfortable with the other guests and even the staff invited us to after hours parties off site. The room was comfortable and secure, with a turn down service perfectly timed to your dinner meal. We loved lounging by the pool - though it was sometime difficult to find an open chair on the beach.
The catamaran ride and turtle-feeding expedition was divine, and the only two beach vendors (seadoos and shirt saleswoman) were extra fun.
The highlight was the live jazz music at dinner - how romantic! And finally a dance contest - we won 3rd prize and a bottle of rum.
Lots of fun, romance and true relaxation in this intimate setting. We can't wait to go back!
