Excellent
Had our first trip to Barbados in September 02 and it was love at first sight! Our first impressions of Club Rockley was that the main areas seemed slightly faded. Our room however was excellent we were up at Orange Hill and considered ourselves very lucky, the room was clean spacious and comfy, we had a lovely view over the golf course. Great choice of restaurants, but sadly the beach restauant closed for a re-fit on the day we arrived! On the whole the food was very good if not always to my taste, fab cooked breakfast and non-stop drinks at the beach. The beach is a sort bus ride away or about a 20 min stroll, its beautiful, soft white sand and turquoise sea, truely a picture postcard.
The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful, the manager Hyacinth, couldn't do enough for you and seemed to be there at all times and lovely Vernon was complete treaure and always left us laughing. I never met any member of staff who wasn't polite and helpful.
We liked the area and enjoyed a stroll down to St Lawrence in the evening or afternoon, all the locals we met were very friendly and we always felt safe.
We will be back next year and are quite likely to stay at Club Rockley again.
