We returned (by default, as the Sandridge Beach was not finished) for two weeks last Christmas and were very disappointed. The hotel now has much more accommodation because it includes the villas but standards had clearly dropped. The hotel was over-crowded, noisy (thanks mainly to a large wedding party who wanted to spend large amounts of time drinking) and the food was poor. The extra food costs over Christmas were just not justified. The beach has indeed disappeared. We had a lovely holiday simply because we left the hotel every day and found lovely places to go to. Fortunately we had a car. I definitely recommend the west coast of Barbados, but not the King's Beach anymore.
