Neptune's Treasure - Anegada 12/03/2005
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
If you are planning a stay on Anegada, consider Neptune's Treasure. This simple but charming family run guest house and restaurant will have you returning year after year for its superb seafood, great location, reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. Dinners are $20 - 40 (lobster) and include delicious salads, veggies and rice or potatoes served family style. You will not leave hungry. Full breakfast (2 eggs, fruit, bacon or sausage, toast and hash browns) is 8 bucks a person. 2 people can stay for 7 nights, have breakfast and dinner every day, and have a decent amount of cocktails for around $200 a night...try doing that on St. John!!! Accomodations are simple, but very clean. Randy (manager) is always looking for ways to improve the rooms (small refrigerators, coffee makers). Room #3 is one of the nicest because of windows on 3 sides and a view of the salt pond, and the resident flamingos. Don't ask for a key, they don't use them on Anegada because they are not needed. If you want to get somewhere, they will call Tony's taxi. $7 per person to or from Loblolly. Also consider renting a vehicle for about $60 per day, including your gas. Although more expensive that taxis, it allows much more freedom. Go to Neptune's Treasure once and you'll return again and again...
