My girlfriend and I visited Cancún in May 98. The hotel is beautiful and far enough away enough from the spring breakers. A 10 minute bus ride to get downtown. We enjoyed the daily activities at the pool side to the open aired eatery on the water. Numerous pools allow a certain amount of private time. Most of all the resort could not have been better. Although the last night, while my girlfriend was recouping from a stomach virus, I caught a cockroach making his/her way across the marble under the mini-bar. The bus ride from the airport is exciting. Enjoy yourself. We did. I must say though, if wherever you stay, you must attend a steak / lobster dinner on the pirate ship. A dinner cruise with entertainment and contests. Food isn't much to die for but the company can't be beat.
