Hotel Reviews:
Cancún & Cozumel
Blue Bay Village 4/4/00
Reviewers Rating: Good The best thing about the BBV was the staff; they were great! The waiters/waitresses were so nice and the entertainment staff were hilarious. The worst two things about the BBV were the food and the beach. There were two specialty restaurants plus one at the sister resort, Blue Bay Club; however it was difficult to get reservations for them. The food at the specialty restaurants was great, but if you couldn't get reservations you had to eat at the buffet which was average at best. I didn't appreciate paying that kind of money to eat 'cafeteria' food! The beach was poor; very small swimming area with a horseshoe game set up just before you enter the water! Very awkward! The water was filled with seaweed; very few people swam there. Most used the pools which were great. On the whole, the place catered to a young, hard-drinking crowd and the facilities took a lot of abuse and unfortunately showed it.
