Iberostar Tucan and Iberostar Cozumel 5/24/00

We stayed at Iberostar Tucan in Playa Del Carmen for the first 4 nights of our vacation. It was a beautiful resort with a huge, nice pool, and a very good price for what you get. The buffet was good, and there is a ton of lush vegetation. The water at the beach was also very clear.We were offered to stay at the new Iberostar Cozumel for the last 3 nights of our vacation as a promotion. Not the best idea! While the resort is pretty nice, it doesn't compare to the Tucan. The rooms are like little bungalows, which was cute, but the beach and pool were not nearly as nice. It was a lot hotter there due to less shade and not nearly as clean. The crowd there seemed rowdier and less family-oriented.
