Sol Caribe (Crown Paradise) 8/13/00

Sol Caribe (former Crown Paradise): Just returned from a week (8/5 to 8/12,2000) at this resort. While the new owners are having some "growing pains" this resort was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property is very clean. The pool area and bar is nice, as is the beach. Snorkeling from the lagoon is awsome and so convienent. We found the food very adequate for an A/I resort. There is usually something for everyone! The staff, especially the bartenders and the activity staff goes way beyond "helpful" to make your stay the most fantastic ever. We would definately recommend this resort and plan on returning again as soon as we can. (In case you were worried about the bankruptsy problem, don't - we heard a major hotel chain is buying this property , or has, and is renovating and upgrading it.) The only peeve we had - because we are smokers - is there arent enough ashtrays around the property.
