Cancún & Cozumel

My wife and I just returned from a trip to the Paradisus. Overall, we had a great time and were pleased with our stay. ROOMS: We had a tower room and the view was great. I would definitely insist on a tower room when visiting. FOOD: We were really put off by all the flies crawling over the food at the buffet. However, we did have some good dinners at the formal restaurant. BEACH: The beach area was nice and the palm/coconut trees were very pretty. Unfortunately, the water was kind of cloudy. SNORKELING: We were able to snorkel right off the beach, but I recommend simply walking down to the El Coz if you are going to snorkel. We also took a snorkeling tour, which was very enjoyable. EXPLORING: We rented a Geo Tracker and took a drive around the island. The Eastern side of the island is beautiful and it is easy to find your own private beach. In addition, there are several good restaurants along the way. Our favorite was "Coconuts." ATTIRE: Don't be surprised if you see ladies laying out topless at the Paradisus. I had read that this didn't happen much in Cozumel, but it did not seem uncommon while we were there. In addition, there were completely nude sunbathers on the Eastern side of the island.
