Excellent
This is a timeshare resort. I have stayed there twice, once in 1989 and again in 2000. Both times I found the 2 bed/2 bath condo units clean, spacious and well equiped. The resort is not on the beach but more than makes up for it in their accomodations, amentities, friendly staff and central location.
The resort is close enough to town so it is very cheap to travel the bus into town and the markets, far enough out on the island so you have wonderful beaches/action nearby and since the resort is not on a beach it gives you a very secluded/peaceful feeling when there (even tho you are literally minutes from the action).
The pool and pool bar/restaurant were wonderful and the staff and guests were all extremely friendly and accomodating, giving you a very small resort feel (low key and laid back). The hammocks strung under the palapa next to the pool were wonderfully relaxing.
We chartered the hotels fishing boat one day (captain/crew were super) and caught several good eating fish. The chef in the resort pool bar/restaurant agreed (for a nominal fee -I think $2-3 plate) to prepare it for us - we ate it the next few nights for dinner-It was Excellent!
There are multiple beaches only a short (5 min) walk away, from those on the ocean side (large surf side) of the island or the north facing side of the island (very calm, bath water side).
I would not hesitate to return to this resort - Both visits were extremely enjoyable and memorable - This is one of the best timeshare resorts I've ever been to.
(p.s. I do not own a timeshare at this resort - I've only exchanged into this resort)
