Excellent
This resort should be called 'Gran Entertainment Real'. Its non-stop activities, music and excitment are there to make your stay, truly a vacation from any home. The Gran Caribe Real is recognized for its great service and outstanding facilities. Some things not always mentioned in brochures are fun to know:
-This resort has the resources to cater to the needs of every type and age of people, young and old, party-ers or relax-ers.
-The food is decent to very good, you can always find a least one thing you like.If you don't, there is a pizzaria open for lunch, and there is a self serve lounge serving hot dogs, hamburgers and sandwiches 24h a day.
-Sure they have 3 bars, but one of them is open 24h a day also, and is self serve, wich can be very convenient.
-They have a gym, sauna and big hot tub open from 6am to 9pm
-despite what it seems, the internet service is free of chargem but they only have 2 computers, and the wait can be long.
-calling home from the hotel should not be done at all. They charge you 4$ USD for the connection fee, and 2$ USD per minute. The best option is buying pre-paid calling cards wich can only be sold in Mexico, and are very cheep.
-not all waiters know how to speak english. Most are as fluent in english as we are in spanish, so beware! You will learn quikly though. The basics? know before you go how to say 'beer', 'one more', 'bathroom', 'thank you' and 'I don't understand spanish'. You'll be fine, they are always willing to help you anyway.
-if you want to go to a local club, be sure to ask where the entertainment crew is going that night. They get you in for free at a diferent bar everynight, but you have to take the bus with them.. very important, because cover charges can be expensive.
Personnaly, I find this resort was very enteraining and proud to attend to your every single need. This is the place to be if you want to meet people of all ages.
