An outstanding hotel. We spent the last of 2001, and the first of 2002 in Cozumel. If you want to experience the town in a water front resort, I couldn't think of a nicer location (I don't know the north side of town). PLG is a short ten minute walk to town, and the snorkelling off the pool deck is very good. The rooms are all spacious suites with large sitting areas and fridges. If the front desk is not too crowded, I recommend getting a list of available room numbers and go out on the deck and check out the different rooms available. All rooms have ocean front, but the higher up and most north (high number) seem best. Beds are very firm but comfortable.Other Cozumel recommendations: Deep Blue is an excellent dive operation (small boats, convenient shop, exceptional service). Guidos, and La Mission were the best food we found. Rock n java just north of PLG is a great breakfast spot.
