Sunset Lagoon Resort 02/03/02

We stayed at this little resort which is affiliated jointly with the Royal Sunset. The Sunset Lagoon is a little, almost hidden resort, which for Cancun, was a pleasant surprise. We usually stay at 5+ star resort and tend to not like Cancun, but this was worth the trip. The food was excellent and the lagoon setting was a surprise! Beautiful. The regular rooms were marginal, but clean. I'd suggest a suite. The service was good, although the front desk folks were not as nice as other resorts. They were not rude, just marginal. The pool was smaller but perfect as it wasn't crowded. The nightly shows were actually good! Again, I think for an all inclusive the food was the best I've ever had. For the nightly events you can even order lobster! You can even get room service delivery. It was a quiet resort and that made it even nicer. I'd recommend this resort over many 5+ resorts on the strip in Cancun.
