Allegro - Occidental Resort in Cozumel 04/25/02

If all the Allegro resorts are like this one, don't hesitate to book! The staff members were friendly, courteous, and professional. Our favorites were Wylly, in the dining room, and Carlos, who distributed beach towels while giving informal Spanish lessons! Buffet style food was fresh, varied, and very tasty. The Mexican restaurant on site was outstanding; we were not as enthusiastic about the Italian restaurant. Minor problems with plumbling issues were addressed within minutes of our calls. The grounds were attractively maintained; the rooms were carefully attended to; the activities were many and varied; drinks of all kinds flowed freely. Great for kids of all ages! Never went to either of the pools because beautiful San Francisco Beach was nearly outside our door. There is no hotel transport into town (about 20 minutes away), but a taxi depot is across the street from the resort. A STERLING VACATION SPOT!
