The hotel is centrally located. Rooms were acceptable, but there was a smell of humidity in our room and some sewage smell in the corridors at times. However, it was very clean and the service was great. Food at "Las Golondrinas" was excellent but recommend reservations as soon as you get there. During our trip in June 2002, there were a bunch of rowdy High School or College kids during the first part of the week. It appears that of all the Palace Resort Hotels, this is the #1 choice for the young crowd. If you prefer peace and quiet steer clear from this one. They tend to sleep during the day and party all night. Buffet food was acceptable, but it is better at "El Mercado" restaurant thand the buffet by the pool.
