Having just returned 6 hours ago, let me tell you that if you have low expectations, Oasis Cancun will not let you down. If you have had nice experiences in all-inclusive resorts, I`d stay away from this one.1. Food was mediocre. Lack of any variety. You will be bored after 3 nights.
2. Servers at most restaurants lack many public relation skills. If you want to feel that the people serving you EXPECT a tip and will be UPSET that they do not get a time, then by all means, come to the OASIS. They will smile the first time they see you, but if you do not tip them, they will no longer be very receptive. If you have payed for a tip-included all-inclusive holiday, but still want to tip and feel you must tip, then OASIS Cancun is the place for you.
3. No information at all was given to us about the services available on registration. We asked the public relations desk who simply said "no" and then gave us a one page photocopied brochure listing the restaurants that were free. Nothing about evening activities, activities by the pool nor for kids. If you want to play Indiana Jones or Sherlock Holmes, then OASIS Cancun is the place for you.
4. The bed linen were NEVER changed. Only rotated from bed to bed and one side to the other side. If you are the kind of person who likes to rotate their underwear to save on costs of laundry, then OASIS Cancun is the place for YOU!
5. The pool was huge and impressive. Unfortunately, the floor and sides were dripping from suntan lotion left from eons of clients and were slippery and urine infested. Yes, the public washrooms made available were of the same cleanliness one would expect from a bus depo, and I kid you not. Do not expect to be able to use any washroom facilities except those of your room. The alternative is just simply revolting. If you like to walk in urine and human excrement in public washrooms, then the OASIS Cancun is the place for you.
